About Us
Dorcas Adunola Oyediji Home for abandoned children was established as a charity foundation in honour of Chief Mrs. Dorcas Adunola Oyediji on the occassion of her 90th birthday in February 2012. Mama’s benevolent disposition has endeared her children to charitable activities where ever they find themselves.
The main objective of the home is to care, protect as well as provide accommodation, nutrition and medical help for the abandoned and vulnerable children. The board of trustees of DAO include Dame Mariam Oyelayo Akintola, Chief Olumuyiwa Oyediji and Ms Toyin Oyediji, as Trustees while Rev Dr Gabriel O. Oyediji serves as chief executive officer/chairman, Board of Trustees. Dr. Oyedele Oyediji, Hon. Olubunmi Oyediji and Barr. Shola Oyediji are members of advisory board.
We also have a crop of seasoned social workers and volunteers, providing adequate care and psycho-social support for the children. We are registered with corporate Affairs Commission Abuja. Child Welfare Department of Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs as well as Association of Orphanages and Home Operations in Nigeria (ASOHON).
It is our ultimate goal is to see each child fulfill his or her destiny, therefore we create a home environment needed for physical, mental and social development of the children.
